Who We Are

As a way to meet a need and help young creatives get their careers off the ground, a group of entrepreneurs, educators, and philanthropists helped Dennis Doan establish The Doan Foundation in 2022.
The Doan Foundation is a nonprofit in the local Southern California community that operates solely on the efforts of volunteers.

Why?

Teenagers in marginalized neighborhoods frequently face a scarcity of options for their futures. Careers in the arts has been undervalued and frequently disregarded for a very long time. We are here to emphasize the significance and promise of the arts in our lives, as well as its viability as a career path for the next generation.
We aim to build a diverse and progressive society that values diversity of opinion and wealth of perspectives. Recognizing the potential of the arts as a medium for fostering community and enriching individual lives is fundamental to us. We value the richness and nuance that each individual brings to our community. We hope that our programs and opportunities that we provide will serve as a catalyst for greater cross-cultural understanding by providing a space for the exchange of ideas and traditions from all walks of life.
